As a licensed esthetician, I find that the basics are something you need to learn and learn well. When you have a full understanding of what you are being taught, it all falls into place.

Esthetician school students now have a book they can turn to. “Skin Care Student Q and A” makes a great supplement to your textbook. It breaks down what you are learning into basic and easy to understand ideas. It also offers lists, resources and charts. Imagine not having to gather bits and pieces of information from numerous places. That has been done for you!

I remember learning all about pH and taking in all that information was great, but I still didn’t understand why I needed to know it. I searched all over for that information, and figuring out that manipulating the pH helps product penetrate better made so much more sense to me. “OH! I get it now!”

That’s what this book can do for you; break things down in a very basic manner so that all those notes you are taking start making sense. This book is a great supplement to your textbook and will answer all those questions that arise as you are learning.

When I went to school to become an Esthetician, I thought I was going to learn how to do facials. I did, but I also learned cosmetic chemistry, anatomy, ingredients, skin disorders and numerous other topics. I never realized how much studying I would be doing!

This book was developing while I was still in esthetician school. I knew during the school year that I needed to write this book to help other skin care students.
